Rambling, rambling part 1 (yes there will be more..)

Hey everyone!

No more birthday posts...at least for now haha. Besides all the blog birthday's, I had a lot of family members and friends who had their birthday. October has always been a busy and festive month. I would like to thank you all for visiting, commenting and your lovely birthday wishes! I always love to hear what you guys think and I really appreciate it that you take the time to tell your thoughts! So if you have suggestions or ideas of what you would like to see...just let me know.

Even though I had many birthdays; school and sketching are always there. School is usually hovering around me (like a stupid fly you can't get rid of!) and no matter how often I try to ignore it, I always hear a little voice

'TJ...TJ...you have to read a your articles...TJ...Helloooo...We know (the 'we' are my books -_-) that you can hear us'...

Yes, I can tell you, it's annoying. But I do it anyway, otherwise it will bug me for the rest of the day (I wanted to say 'for the rest of my life...but please no :|). Also the orders for illustrations are dripping in! I'm so excited about this! So my days are filled with tons of stuff.

I can tell about a lot of stuff that happened during the last few weeks, but that is going to be a long post! So I will divide it and have a random rambling post. Let me start. In this post I shall show you guys a few illustrations that I was requested to do ^_^.

The first one, I did a few weeks back and it was for another blogger, Japaul. He is writing a story and he really wanted an illustration about the main character. He had send me two chapters of his work and I could choose whatever scene I wanted to create an illustration. This is a quick illustration I came up with.

The scene were the mom gave a present to her son.

The second one, was for a sweet lady named Paula. Ooh I got soo mad at the mailman *shakes fist*! Okay not for real. That wasn't possible. But I found out about the fact that the package was wrinkled when Paula send me an email that she got her illustration....all wrinkled! I was like 'Noooooo! That can't be!' (shaking fist in the air continues...). I'm kinda a perfectionist and when I do something for someone, I want to do that as perfect as possible. A wrinkled illustration is a definite NO...*sigh* -_-'. But I want to make up to her, so she gets a design for a Christmas card from me ^_^!
The theme was her kids and their bunny.

Another requested illustration had two cool themes; New York and a Mini Cooper. It was for a birthday for the daughter of the customer. So I combined these two and this is what I came up with:
I gave the skyline and Statue of Liberty my own twist hehe.

Have to say, the scan doesn't do the coloring justice...for both illustrations. It looks different in real life. Oh yeah, if you enlarge the pictures, you see more detail.

Last but not least, I got a two other blog awards from Nicx and TimeThief! Really many many thanks! It's always nice that people think of you! I try to post them up soon and answer the questions that go along with the award(s), but I thought I would mention it. I didn't forget about it!

For now, my dear readers, this is it. But there will be more, so stay tuned!

Ciao!

  13. @ Surveygirl46: Hello, hello! Well the thing is...I do see lots of images in my head and I just draw them. Oh I know exactly what you mean with writing! You just instantly create a story around people and even though they think it's silly, it's really for you!

With drawing request, it is kinda funny, people just give a few hobbies and photo's and then I just draw whatever comes in mind and up till know they all like it. Hahah at least I think it's funny ^_^', because they can also simply dislike it hehe.

Thank you so much for you sweet comment! Stop by anytime! And we do have to create our genius book someday! Ciao!

@ Syl: Hey Syl! Thank you thank you! I will keep posting stuff, so check back! Or should I say: Dank je wel hehe ^_^! Cyaa!

@ James: Thanks for stopping by! Really appreciated!
